Hey Guys!

Well I'm finally home! Three hour trip down to Columbus! Probably an 1.5 hours of socializing with the seller and then an hour at the Mongolian Grill then another three hours back!

The seller was a nice guy. A fellow enthusiast, he has a 300SE in the shop getting a new head. He's a MBCA member and was pretty knowledgeable too. He's a pretty honest guy too. Nice to talk to, likewise with his wife. Very nice people.

So I'll post a link to pics here shortly, and start a new thread for all your to-do's.

I filled the car up when we left his area, reset the trip and refilled it when I got home here. The needle had just hit 3/4 tank remaining and the trip read 164. The pump clicked at 4.123 gallons.... 39.77 MPG! That was without cruise and me attempting to keep speed around 65-67mph. I went up to 70 a few times and then tried to match speed with my buddy in his 560SEL who was passing me... Needless to say I was not so successful!

My mom loves the car compared to my 190E. Its a very much nicer ride (not to hate on the 190E--I do love it.) My bum was not sore after the 3 hour trip!

The retrofit R134A actually works pretty well. Normally I put the A/C and blower on Max in the 190 and just let it run. I had to put the low speed on a few times.

Anyways. Thanks for the advice and see you guys in the new thread... I'll post a link here too..
