1997 210 Cat Replacement
One of the front exhaust pipes going into the front of the Catalytic Converter has rotted off on my 1997 E300. Happen to anyone else? Anybody find a replacement?

I just replaced the oxidation catalyst on my '98. I got a reman'd unit installed from my indie. Not cheap - the part with core trade was about $500. Not sure if the '97 takes the same unit as the turbo model. I am getting about more 3 mpg since the replacement, however.

I wouldn't mind spending $500. I just don't seem to be able to locate anything. I'm afraid to even ask the dealer what's it worth. Probably as much as my car!

It may be a dealer only part. I couldn't find it here on PeachParts/Fastlane, so I called a couple of dealers. One, out of state, had the part for $450 with core trade-in. I couldn't wait for the delivery time. The dealers around here had it in stock or could get it in a day.
