I absolutely LOVE my 87wagon. however, this morning after starting the car, and beginning to drive out of the apartment complex, I noticed a pinging rattle just off idle... when I payed CLOSE attention to it, I noted it at idle and slightly above idle driving around.
now, when I say pinging, I mean a SLIGHT warble just noticeable above the amazing smooth quiet murmur of the motor.
what say you experts?

It might be the belt tensioner damper starting to lose its end bushings.
