1995 E300 Diesel Windshield Washer won't stop
When I press the windshield washer it will start and keep going. The only way to stop it is to stop the power going to the washer motor.
There are two motors on the reservoir . one is closer to the engine the other is farther from the engine. If a disconnect the power to the motor closest to the engine, it goes off and is reset. Has anyone had any experience with this issue?? |

One motor is for the windscreen while the other is for the headlamps wash function - it only works when the headlamps are ON and the wash function for windshield is called for.
The headlamps function is somehow routed through the park switch of one of the headlamp wiper motors (RHS I believe). It is known to stick and it will drain all fluid in one wash. But only from the headlamp washers not the windscreen. Has your system wiring been reversed at the motors?

Oh, I just read the rest of the post. Sounds like you have a relay that is latching up (a short?), or stuck.
