Saw an old timer
Yesterday, while filling up at a Flying J in Twin Falls ID. (I was on a vacation/road trip) I heard the distinct smooth clatter of a small diesel engine (not a big rig mind you, but a small diesel engine)
Anyway, I looked up in time to see an old gray 220D pulling around the pumps and out into traffic. Car looked used but not abused, and sounded really smoooooth! I just stood there and watched it drive away. The wife looked at me, shook her head and said "you are addicted to diesels and got it bad don't you?? I just smiled and climbed into the car. Wish I could have talked to the owner, but didn't get the chance. If it is someone here on the forum, you have a nice looking/running ride mate!! Glenn

I saw a pristine light olive green W115 240D in Redwood city yesterday. I was playing an outdoor gig, so I couldn't approach the car or the owner. That car must have been in a vault somewhere for 30 years, even the painted hubcaps were flawless.
