Window Chatter

When operating the right rear window on my 84 300D, there isn't a problem when opening the window, but when closing, the window "chatters" at the top. Is this a regulator problem, motor problem, or something else? Thanks!!

happens on mine too, and i want to look into it. i think that there is some sort of plastic gear with teeth that wear out that causes it...

nope,no plastic here :)

.

mine is bit different (SEC) I think...did't see any plastic
except inside metal holders of the glass itself...

but re-greasing of the vertical slider helped a lot.
