1992 300D window

My front driverside window will not go up all the way, its gets all the way until about a half an inch then stops and starts clicking. Does anybody know what is wrong?

Sounds like you need a window regulator. Pretty easy diy'er type job. Hardest point is getting the door panel off.

if this JUST started, you may be able to fix it by tightening the bolts that hold the regulator in place... but likely it's already eaten the teeth off the regulator. the motor gets damaged as well when this happens, don't use the window until you have it fixed!
