How much does the 300SD engine weigh?
 

Came across a couple 300SD engines (see link below).

I don't know if they are pre 81 or not. I am wondering if anyone knows how much they weigh? I did a search here on the the forums and found everything from 500 to 650 lbs.

Bottom line is, I am moving from CA to VA next year and need to figure out how/if I can take them with me...

Ultimate goal is to drop them into something like a jeep or my dakota. Always wanted to do that...

300SD Turbo Diesel eng/trans

According to old discussions I looked up when I was thinking of shipping one... estimates of anywhere from 575 to 650 depending on if the turbo, flywheel and starter are attached. No idea about the trans.
