Russian vin site.

Hello guys. I have a couple of questions. I have an 82 300td and used the Russian vin decoder site. It came back with some unknowns. My question is on a couple 575 Center console for second row seats and 623 version for gulf states. Why does my car say it has a console when it doesn't ? What does it mean my gulf states? Thanks guys.

Middle East?

I had some odd options show up on my 84 300D when I ran it there too. Try to run it on the EPC and see if it's better.

Option codes can be repurposed. In your case, 575 is more likely left folding armrest and 623 is more likely light ivory paint. If the color is off, maybe it is a middle eastern option.

I do this to be humorous, not condescending - Google search results - then choose the Comprehensive option code list result.

The first BW hit has a downloadable pdf with a heck of a list of options.

You can access the EPC at epc.startekinfo.com at no cost for US residents. A credit card is needed to verify US residency but there are no charges. You'll have access to US models only or you can pay for access to worldwide models. Once you enter a VIN, you select the datacard feature to view option codes. It only provides codes. There's no description with the codes.

You can also send you VIN to the Mercedes Classics Center and they will send you a copy of the build sheet, and often tell you what all the codes are.

That's how I did it. It's been a few years since I did it, but I just sent them an email explaining what I was looking for and the car's VIN, and within a few days they replied with a scanned copy of the build card, and an explanation of the codes. Both times I did it all the codes matched what I found in my car.

Why not call them? You have to give out all personal information like address etc. Here's the center in Irvine, CA.
Direct #: 1-866-622-5277
Alternative #: 949 598-4850
