115 amp alternator to replace the 90 amp?
I'm replacing a 90 amp alternator on my 1998 E300D. I see there is a 115 amp one available as well. Can i use the 115 amp one without any trouble? Its even a little cheaper.
Thanks.

Mine has the 115 factory fitted, is yours a TD or a D only?
Mine is a 1999 E300TD and I am sure if you got a TD you should be fine with the 115

I put a 115 Amp alternator (010-154-06-02) in my '95 E300D; it came from the local Pick and Pull, was in a 1994 E420. The extra 25 Amps definitely helps the battery recover more quickly from the load of glow plugs and starter motor. Your existing wiring should be heavy enough.
