603 turbo oil supply line, 1987 300TDT

I'm looking to replace the oil supply line for the turbo. Is this just a large diameter brake line that you can just get at the local autoparts store? Or does the turbo end have a special fitting? I know the end that goes into the block is just a flare fitting.

On the 617 Turbo models ForcedInduction on an other forum said there is a restricted Fitting to limit the Oil flow in the Turbo Oil Inlet Line.

I have no personal knowlege of that. Perhaps removing the Old line and a good inspection of it would be helpful.

Various models of theT3, TO3 are used on a lot of gass cars. You can buy the Flanges that would fit the Turbos on the 617s and the Flanges are pipe threaded for Fittings.
You can see some of that stuff on sites like Summit Racing; and so on.

Well I'm not looking to remove the old line without a replacement in hand ready to go. It's just a precautionary replacement.

I accidentially bent the old line a bit when installing the head. I bent it back into place but I'm not sure if I've weakend the line. It's probably fine.

But if is was a quick easy replacement I would do it just to be safe. If both ends are standard flare fittings then I can just go to any autoparts store and get a $5-10 brake line and be done. But I don't know what the turbo end of the line is like...flare fitting or something else?

This is the part number. Google it and you will find a diagram from parts website.

Looks like it has a Brazed Flange on the Turbo End.

yep it does appear the turbo end is different. I guess if I had to I can use a standard brake line and cut the end off and solder or weld the special end on somehow.
