Storing spare parts

I still have the 1985 300SD I got from a friend, I decided to take some parts and store them as spares for my 1984 300D before I call the junk yard to take it away. After I take these parts off the car, what's the best method to preserved them until I need to use them:
I am mainly concern about the IP, after all the fuel lines are removed where they were attached will be open. Also, should do anything with the IP before I remove it (set the engine at TBC), anything like that.

I am keeping the power steering system, what to do to preserved the components?

Radiator

Oil cooler

brake master cylinder

turbo

Alt

AC compressor

Also, since it appears I might have a clogged fuel screen, I thought I would take the screen of this car and clean it so when I decide to clean the one in the 300D all I have to do is take one out and put in without creating a mess.

for the IP and the MC, I'd get some basting bags and seal them up. heavy ziplock bags will work as well. anything that will seal it up.
each fitting opening should have caps on them to seal the lines first though.
radiator, I'd flush it really really well, and blow it dry, then store it where NOTHING can hit it.
oil cooler, alt and turbo can just sit on a shelf.
protect the openings from mud dobbers if you have them in your area.
the a/c compressor is a challenge... it'll need to be SEALED up tight, and pressurized if possible.
you might remove the header from the car, and connect the low and high ends with a fitting of some sort, and then squirt some N2 in there until the time you are ready to use it. otherwise, the oil will absorb water from the air, and turn to acid and destroy the compressor...

When things are stored they are best off in someplace dry where the temperature does not fluctuate from one extreme to the other. That helps prevent condensation from the Air.
Hot moist areas are also relly bad no matter if the temp remains the same.
