240D Vacuum Quirk Question
What are things coming to that I'm asking questions about a car I don't yet own....??
Anyway, picking up an 83 240D next week. It has the following quirk: in order for the shut-off valve to operate, the doors have to be locked (in other words, you lock the doors, then shut off the car). Thoughts as to how to investigate?

Iam thinking your unlock side has a vacuum leak in one of the door actuators, the master vac valve in the drivers.
Get the Mity vac out and start checking the system. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/160169-w123-vacuum-interlock-diagram.html Charlie
