Adsit Dash Cover W123

Are the dash covers offered by Adsit for the 123 any good? Black is on sale for about $90.00 and my dash is starting to crack pretty badly. Seeing as my car is hardly a trailer queen, I can live with a cracked dash but for $90 if it's worth it I'll try to put lipstick on the pig.

You might ask the folks at Adsit if the dash covers at Pelican Parts are any good and see what kind of response you get.

$30.00 more here. Didn't realize they sold this kind of stuff. Hard to get an opinion on a parts sponsored site I guess. I've not used Pelican since whatever happened a few/couple of years back but until now, didn't need anything. Hell for $30 bucks, I'd rather support the site anyway. Thanks

Just checked site - Shipping adds quite a lot to total cost. Eck lers has them on sale, still high shipping.

Cov er lay has this problem solved until Dec 31st.

I have had covers (plastic overlays) on two cars that I purchased and didn't like either. One had to be removed after it bubbled from UV and that was a ton of fun as the idiot who installed it used epoxy instead of silicone.

I put a carpet-style cover on my dashes. It likely won't completely cover the cracks (if they extend all the way from the windshield to the front of the dash, like my TD) but makes things look a whole lot better.

Hey rmmagow. Did you get the dash cap? If so, what's your opinion about it?

No, I haven't gotten it yet. Not sure I am going to bother as I'm pressing the car into full time service and am more concerned with mechanicals for now.

I use the carpet style dash cover as suggested by Zacharias. If I had a new dash or dash overlay, I'd use the carpet style to protect if from the harsh Texas sun. I've had this cover for at least 5 years and it still looks brand new.
