I’ve read that the most popular colors for a Benz are black, white and silver.

One of the reasons is the long lead time for ordering a car. Dealers tend to play it conservatively and shy away from less popular colors, and trend toward black, white and silver when ordering a car without it already being sold.

I’ve been driving MB diesels for 25 years, and have owned a fair number of them, and up until now, have never owned a black one. Come to think of it, only one white (69 220D) and one silver (87 300TD). Most were a shade of blue, with light ivory next.

Wonder why I don’t see a lot of black ones?
