And that's counter to the DMV published guidance on re-registering plates. In this case, you'd probably give up on the project before CA DMV approved the registration. Which is probably why it's for sale anyway...and seemingly so cheap. |

Cool swap. I did swap the engine and transmission as a unit. Unfortunately, the tranny went out and I'm in the middle of swapping in another one.

definitely check for frame mods and clearance and then low ball him. As a parts car, it's worth about 2k. -CTH

Hey dave,
I see in the first picture the intake pipe goes over the top and the second pic it goes under the engine. Was this to clear the hood clearance? I bet it really makes that Dakota move right along. Did you do a thread on the swap? Charlie

I always favored the SEC as a very keen diesel swap ,back seats , a lowered stances,with the 617 purring under the hood .
