Checking power steering fluid 2008 E320 Bluetec
 

Looked all under my hood and found plenty but I cannot find power steering fluid cap. Not much spare space and owners manual covers other fluids but appears to skip adding/checking power steering fluid. Anyone know where it is on my much enjoyed and overpriced 2008 e320?

Been about a year since I touched an ML, but I think you'll have a remote reservoir with a black plastic cap that my have a picture of a steering wheel on it. I don't remember where under the hood it is.

Almost bought a 2007 but I chickened out after hearing about issues with the transmissioins. Ended up with an Infiniti FX instead.

It's under the big plastic engine cover. Just lifit it up and set it aside; there are no tricks to remove it. The PS reservoir is on the left (driver's) side in plain sight.

So that's what the plastic cover is for....to look cool and to hide things from noobs! It worked on me.
