What is this spring and this wire?

On my new to me 84 SD, there is an exposed spring (pic 3) located on the drivers side under the trans tunnel carpet. What is it?

In the drivers side trunk, there is a wire that goes into the back panel with a 3-wire female connector on the end. (pic 1 & 2) What is it?

The "spring" is actually a foam tube, with wire reinforcement, for the A/C condensation drain. I replaced mine with some clear tubing.

Not sure about the connector. Is this inside the rear light housing? If so, it may be a connector used for the rear fog lights.

the wire is to power the old style Cell Phone base.
as mentioned, the tube is foam insulation drain hose. Mine looks the same, and has no water issues. there are two drains on the 126, so the condensation gets out. if you have any water issues in your car, it'd be a good idea to replace the hose.

I'd take that a step further: anytime you have access (i.e. have removed the covering regardless of reason) to the drain tube, replace it. Easy preventative step and you will have to do it eventually. You need a 3/4" inner diameter tube of about 6" on each side. I used clear threaded tubing and heated it to the point I could slip it over the evaporator housing fitting.
