Recommendations for new 240D W123 shift knob?

Hi guys,

Shifting from 1st to 2nd in my 4-speed 240D today, I felt the shifter knob rip. Yep, after 30 years, the poor original factory knob has seen its last.

It's the stock knob, with the rubbery material.

Do you guys have any recommendations on a replacement, or should I stick with the trusty (but boring) factory knob?

Thanks,

Packman

You can get replacement knobs with wood.

Thanks, that's a GREAT suggestion. Has anyone purchased one of these... and if so, do you have a photo?

Thanks,

Packman

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I have ordered the solid Zebrano Wood knob that Biodiesel300TD pointed out at PelicanParts. Thanks, I'm looking forward to not only repairing the problem but making the 240D more attractive!

I love this forum! Thanks so much.

Cool. Be sure to post a pic when you get it installed.
