Only one part in entire country...how could I resist?
Took my 83 240D to indie to get shifter looked at....something's not right about it. I can shift fine, but can't imagine teaching my son on it (the pull up for reverse feature isn't working). Anyway, whatever part I need, there's only one of them available in the entire country. So how could I resist? Something fun about getting the last available part!
That would be a good mechanic's ruse, wouldn't it? "Part is becoming very scarce...only one left....better repair it while you still can!"
