Need confirmation on the 2nd ring. First ring 2.5mm is bevel on both sides so I assume the orientation does not matter. The 2nd ring 2mm is bevel on the inside on one side only. Bevel side should be up? Just want to ask here to confirm.

Hmm... the info I'm finding on the web seems to say the bevel goes up. it also goes on to say there should be a mark on the top of the ring, near the gap.

What brand of rings? Usually aftermarket sets come with orientation instructions.

Generally there will be a dot near the gap that should face up.
