turbo oil line 300sdl

I'm in Trenton, TN. Bent the turbo oil line when removing the head. Anyone know where to find one for less than $200. Really need to get this 300sdl on the road! Thanks!

What all is involved in making one that is a quality replacement and not just a 'make do'?
Thanks Kerry

Hydraulic shop with ability to make flexible stainless oil supply lines.

Here's just one idea to get you started. That's a $15 kit on eBay that gives you more than half the solution. Just search for "turbo oil line" and look for T3/T4 turbos.

You'll need to braze the proper fitting onto your MB hard line to make the connection on the other end. Should be $5 or so for the fitting and $20 or so to braze it on.

Same basic principle as I used in retrofitting stainless braided oil lines on my engine swap.

For lots of other ideas and solutions that are used on all manner of cars, do a Google search on "turbo oil lines" and click images.

Almost all custom turbo installations use the braided stainless lines to make the connection.

If you use AN fittings you will be able to make your own lines and best of all, they are reusable should a line develop a leak or you want to modify your routing.

try the Parts Forum

You could put up a:

WTB: 300SDL turbo oil supply line in the Parts Forum.

I'd be surprised if a forum member doesn't have 2 or 3 of them laying on the shelf. Good Luck and welcome to the 300SDL club!

Check the ends of the origional Oil Line. On another Forum ForcedInduction said there was a restricted fitting in the line; He was speaking of a 617.952; but, it woul not hurt to look and see if you have one.

depending on where the bent part is you could cut out the bent section and slide some Oil cooler Hose over the Tubing. After that you could put as many Clamp on as you like depending on how much Hose you slid over the Tube.

If nothing else you could use that until you get a real used one.

If there is room you could also use one of the Hydraulic Repair Couplings. Auto Zone sells some.
