looking this over, I see several mentions as to long wheel base and driveshaft length... the front shaft should be the same between long and short wheelbase no?

thats what im thinking however these driveshafts are balanced together. Not a big deal though im going to PNP tomorrow to get the tailhousing, output shaft coupler, driveshaft and motor mount arms for a 300SE.
I pulled a valve cover, oil cooler and lines, throttle linkage and a BRAND NEW behr radiator off a 300SDL with a 14 head (new radiator, guess that didn't fix its overheating issue!) I will take pictures of my awards when im down at sirniks house again. I am so excited to be blessed with a brand new OEM radiator for my #20 head low mileage 603

Alright, Im reassembling a clean motor with new gaskets and new rod bolts (I inspected the bearings) and I cant seem to find a torque figure for the con rod bolts. I notice in diagrams it shows two different bolt styles for the main bearings, one of which must be a stretch fastener (one has that neck). My new con rod bolts are threaded all the way up, seem like they have more mass and have a 10.9 grade like the old ones. On the diagrams I looked at I noticed that the two different styles of crankshaft main bearing bolts had different torquing procedures, one being a simple torquing and the other being torquing and angular torquing.
The issue is I cant seem to find a different spec for these different bolts, which I confirmed are the correct part number in the EPC. I guess its an update and there's no updated 603 literature on the net. The factory ones were 30NM.
