'93 300D with terrible rear rattle
PO said he replaced the rear shocks with Monroe's and ever since the swap there has been a terrible rattle in the rear when you go over any imperfection in the road.
Sound like he installed the wrong shocks? Maybe installed incorrectly? Or are the Monroe shocks to blame? -John

sounds like they forgot the upper pads on the shocks, or they left the bolts loose...

Might also check out the sway bar links. They can make rattling noises over bumps.
