I agree with jay_bob on the Testors hobby paint. I don't recall which shade of orange I used, but it was just some my friend had in his hobby kit.
Eaton, I wonder if using a hair dryer is safer on the felt strip to prevent melting the cluster? I've used a hair dryer in the past to soften stickers that have been applied to various laptop components in the past with great success.
