Also how hard is it to rebuild the pump? are there items that are pressed in, will I need any specialty tools, Is it something that should be left to a professional?

AFAIK 60x vacuum pumps are not rebuildable like 617 pumps are. This is not to say it's impossible to someone with a machine shop, just that it's unfortunately impractical to most of us. In any case, if the pump is the early style with the exposed ball bearing, you would want to replace the pump anyway assuming you are not the lucky person with the machine shop who could press in a new sealed bearing.
