I just took delivery of my "new" '82 240D with the swapped manual transmission from my donor '83. Big Ups to DieselPaul for doing this job for me! The car feels great, and the performance is definately improved. I'll let Paul go into more details on the procedure. In the mean time, I gots some drivin' to do! Thanx Paulie!

A 240D with a Manual trans will be a big improvement, you will notice the difference, as will as a possible MPG improvement.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
