1999 W210 E300 no start - we have a problem

Well, it happened.

After putting off R&R of the delivery valve seals for a couple of months, the car will no longer start and fuel runs out when the car hasn't been running. I suspect that most of my fuel system needs a refresh:mad:.

I was planning on R&R of the delivery valve seals while my girlfriend went away for work, but budget cutbacks cancelled her trip:mad:.

On top of it all, I've too many thing to do this week and only 2hrs of sleep to work on:mad:.

I guess that I will have the car towed to the mechanic's shop and pay to have it fixed with credit since I can no longer spend time and have no money to pay for repairs with.

Time is quite expensive I agree, but wow... the work required to change the DV seals is NOTHING compared to a SHOP BILL ON CREDIT CARD!!!

the 606 has great bolts and easy access to remove the intake, the dv socket is cheap, as are the seals and crush washers... I've got to do 3 603's this month, and I'm NOT looking forward to pulling that hex headed mess of a manifold... you've got it easy!

I know it's not hard work, just time consuming. I'm still rebuilding the 240D interior/HVAC as well.

Just a little overwhelmed with everything else that happening.

Well, I've pulled the IM and cleaned the surfaces and injection lines before moving forward with this.

I have found two more potential problems.
1) The end plug on the injector return is slightly cracked and slowly leaking. I think I will replace it.
2) The return hose, under the hood, that hooks into the hardline to the tank is pretty old and starting to look a bit dry-rotted and cracked on bottom.

I only want to have to get in there once and get it all done, so I will be waiting for the parts to get here.

Glad that I bought a new car, because the parts that need replacing on this beast are getting harder to source and more expensive by the year.
