Why not mail off an oil sample to the fine guys at Blackstone oil?

$30 and they will tell you exactly how many miles you can safely run your oil before needing a change.

I prefer the common sense method, Driving conditions, mileage on motor and miles drivin. Here in Phoenix it's usually 4K miles. Love the sarcasm though.

Blackstone told me 7.5k miles oci on the '95 e300 was reasonable based on my test results. M1 0w 40 used for last 5 years.
