1978 300D update
 

bought the car a couple of weeks ago, seller was a , let's call it: "dishonest person" at the least, but i am working my way through the flaws:

Things fixed:

Steering play adjusted,
New alternator / regulator,
New stereo,
Power antenna working,
power windows working,
Glow plugs updated from loop to pen style and parallel,
vacuum leak fixed (the major one at least).

Things still to fix :

power door lock,
heat / AC (heat works only on defrost), i probably bypass the "evil servo thing....",
vibrations between 50 and 55 mph.



It's actually fun to work on the car, everything is so accessible in comparison to my wifes e46 BMW....

It really grows on me day by day....
