1987 300td Strip Fuse Question
Hey Guys,
Replaced all my fuses today, and found a broken strip fuse. Apparently there are two strip fuses located in front of the fuse box, both in individual plastic snap covers. They look to be exactly like the 80amp strip used for the glow plug relay. I don't know if these are 50a or 80a, or what they control. I had some extras from the glow relay so replaced it with an 80amp strip. Any info on which amperage it takes and what those control and whether I'm okay with an 80a in there is appreciated. thanks, |

using an 80A strip in there is a very sure way to start a fire, It has happened on 30A fuse also if the blower works too hard e.g. debris blocking the evaporator fins etc.
Not quite sure why would you have 2 fuses, the upgrade was for the blower fuse only. In the original design the blower fuse was inside the fuse box. |
