SLS Troubles 1985 300TD Euro
This will be the first thread on my newly acquired 1985 300TD Euro model since i got it a week ago. I'll make another thread and post pictures of it soon.
When i got the wagon the SLS tank was dry due the low pressure line leaking. I replaced the hose and filled it up with the proper hydraulic fluid from MB. With 3 adults sitting in the rear cargo area the suspension failed to raise up. I opened the bleeder valve up on the leveling valve with the engine running and fluid was coming out, the fluid appeared to be very bubbly, never got any better no matter how much i opened it. I disconnected the linkage arm and moved the lever on the valve up and the suspension raised to its highest level. I lowered the arm and it dropped back down. However the problem appears to be that with the linkage connected the valve doesnt to react, the arm on the valve needs to be pushed up higher than the linkage would normally move it. In other works it seems there is slack in the valve, the arm needs to be moved up about an inch before the suspension starts to rise. Is the leveling valve the culprit? Thanks for the advice

There are, iirc two mounting points on the lift arm, maybe you are using the wrong setting?
