2008 ML320 CDI (Older son’s DD) fatal transmission failure, water soaked/fried rear SAM, numerous other issues, just too far gone to save (165k miles)
2008 E320 Bluetec (Younger son's DD) injector failed open and diluted oil with diesel, spun main bearings (240k miles)

full tank/empty tank/low tank... no matter for the diesel purge, but, when you disconnect the hoses, you may have a bit of fuel flow from the full tank, so be ready to plug the lines.
on that gas mistake, I'd put some diesel additive heavy concentration or a quart of NEW vegetable oil. NOT WASTE OIL...
