Shift indicator cable replacement for W115?

Damn, snapped mine being careless! This is the little cable that connects off the steering column and attaches to the instrument cluster and moves the little indicator on the steering column that indicates park, reverse, neutral, etc. Does anyone have a part number for this? Or a source - called Peach and am waiting for someone to call me . . . .this is where I especially miss Phil!

How thick is the cable? I'm wondering if you could use a shifter/brake cable meant for bicycles. If the cable is not a direct fit into the sleeve, you should be able to retrofit a cable + sleeve... I'll mail you one if you want it. This would also make future replacements much easier.

Its pretty fine . . . .bike cable was much thicker. I did buy a much lighter picture hanging cable - I might be able to splice or solder ends together. Are you saying that you have the original cable as a complete unit? Thanks!

Nope, I mean that I have lots bicycles sitting around, waiting to give up their cables to you in case you go that route .
