Cool story about using 300SD's in a cab fleet

Cool story I just ran across about a guy in Boise using 300SD's for a fleet of cabs running on veg.

Post Diesel Cabs

" TAXI ! TAXI ! " in Santa Monica , Ca. ran a fleet of these for over a decade , I'm not sure why they changed over to (ugh) Toyota Prius' , they summarily junked all the W-126 SD's they had , most were very clean indeed , inside and out .

Way cool! I remember seeing a W116 300SD used as a taxi in the Tacoma area of Washington.

We had (Maybe still do) a bunch of W123`s that were called Green Cab. they burned Bio-Diesel.

I was at one of the PNP`s and there was a Green Cab being slammed around and then shoved into the crusher.

Go Green Cab Santa Cruz

Cool story and I applaud the effort but the reporter should at least get the facts correct. He states that the company is "converting them to run on biodiesel". The cars are obviously being converted to run on vegetable oil and of course no conversion is required if they were actually to be run on biodiesel. May be picking nits but that kind of sloppy information annoys me.

That's pretty cool! I hope I see them driving around town here in Boise. I don't see many old MB Diesel's around here.

Talking 300SDLs are better

"Baby Polar Bear" was sold to a husband&wife owned Taxi service in Canada. I have no memory of their location.
