207d 307d 407d ect van leaf springs
hi guys,
i have an 84 207d van that is in campervan/rv guise, needless to say the leaf springs in the back just are not up to the job, what i really want to know is, are the leafs from the heavier rated vans (308 etc) able to be bolted in to the 207s chassis? many thanks |

well it appears i already have the 307d set up with 3 leaves and the helper on the bottom, compared to the standard 207d which normally just has 2 leaves and the helper...
and no go on the 4xx series as they are wider, bugger, looks like im going to have to go for a seperate helper set up, air bags or something.. . |

Perhaps they are just worn?

with out a doubt, its 30 years old after all, but if i can help it i don't want to be buying a new set of leaves, i think ill just buy another 60mm (2 3/8") leaf and add it to the pack, and get a new set of heavy duty shocks

I would think the '4' rated springs from the same chassis would fit wouldn't they? The ones from the dual rear wheel models. I had a 409d which was the same sized van with dual wheels. Seems like the spring lengths and widths would have to be the same to fit on the same chassis.
