84 CD VACUUM DIAGRAM

I have looked at every diagram I could pull up here, but can't find a clear picture of what I need. The PO has or had all vacuum lines at the fire wall cut off and melted. The lines in the engine compartment have been re-routed, some plugged, some just dangling in mid air.The engine does not shut off, obviously no door locks, seat backs, trunk, or fuel door function. Trans shifts fine. Can anyone with a unmolested calif 300CD draw up a simple color coded diagram that shows what goes where under the hood?

Thanks

I have the egr lines removed. One of the orifices goes to a five way splitter. Door locks, seat back, HVAC, ignition switch.

The other goes to the VCV.

This is from the main vacuum line from the pump to the booster.

The EGR controls on the Cali version will be different, but this thread covers everything else for the CD.

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/295616-definitive-83-fed-300cd-vacuum-thread.html

You can fill in the blanks/correlate the diagrams to add the Cali EGR. There is no single diagram that covers the whole system.

To get the engine to shut off, I'd start with the diagram that says "shutdown 617". The EGR and the shutoff can be completely isolated from each other. The shutdown runs off the same tee as the seat backs, the doors and the A/C system. You can block/ignore/leave off those "additional consumers" (as identified in the FSM) until you get the shutdown sorted, then add them back in as troubleshooting progresses.

The 5 way is missing from my system, that's why I couldn't figure out my routing.

Thanks

Those five ways are NLA, so you can use a four way and a three way.
