How do I fix the stuck side view mirror? 240D

Probably have to pry off the silver inside cover next to the mirror handle (Drivers side ), and look for some screw?

Anyone ever do this ? Mirror wont budge any angle and handle is non op.

Thanks...

Hey SS, I was up late last night looking through a bunch of Kent's videos and couldn't find this one. Thanks and will let you know how this works out soon.

I've been following ************** for years now. He has some great fix-it kits that are pretty reasonably priced. I still have his sunroof lube kit that came with a long thin wire cleaner that's great for cleaning all the MB drain hole areas.
Sunroof, Hood springs, Fuel cap hole, anyplace else you can find...

... most of kent's stuff is chinease and heavily overpriced... but the videos do help the novice. when they are correct...
use with caution...

OK.. Have the mirror off the car now but the 240D has no pin ( 4:15 mark) as in the SD video to remove the rubber cover.

Stuck. No access yet to the inside workings of the mirror.

Done. Only way I could find to get to see the innards of the mirror was to use a good plyer to open the tilt of the mirror and hold it open with my hammer's big rubber handle.

Everything was stuck so PB'd everything on the inside. The inside handle on this mirror was no longer connected to the lever inside the mirror. Guess from PO trying to adjust a frozen mirror. So manually did a bunch of wiggling after the lubing in each direction. Now I have a manual mirror from the outside which should be good enough until I find one at a yard...
