Are Gen I and Gen II window regulators interchangeable?
I read that they are different somehow but can they be switched?

My memory is foggy, but I think they can be....provided you have the motor, too. The gears on the electric motors and regulators was changed. It's why when I sell a regulator, I always sell it with the motor. I don't think you can interexchange the motors if the gear teeth have a different size/count.
