240 D spotted for sale, pictures and info - pretty nice
 

Gents, I don't post much but go here when I need to for my W210 E300 and always get the needed answers.

So... I know you like this stuff so here we go...

1983 240 D 4 door, automatic, 146,000 miles. All original

I've seen this around town on a 'rare' basis, but I've always noticed it. Silly clean and straight. Wood on the interior is cracked pretty back on the center console, seats at my glance looked good. Did not see rust or damage, but I did not take 10 minutes looking at it either. Tires had good tread but were none the less wore out and tired.

Called the chap, still for sale. Has folks looking at it and coming back through this weekend.

Says he is third owner. Originally a South Carolina car most of life then another owner for one year, then he bought it with 125,000 on it 6 yrs ago. Just got a divorce and looking for cash and something "faster". He did replace both rear axles. AC not working makes a ringing sound, he took the belt off. Windows and sunroof and other electric reportedly work. Seats good. No rust.

So, that's what I know on this end. IF, interested and IF it is still around and IF I have the time and receive the proper clearances I could see about some more pictures/info.
