Looking at a 92 300D Turbo - smoking
Any insight on looking into this issue described by the owner? I am like 1,000 miles away but the car is nice color and nice condition in & out. Haven't talked to the owner
quote.. "HAS 234 K MILES CAR HAS NOT BEEN USED IN 8 MONTHS BECAUSE OF A HEAD GASKET PROBLEM.. YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE HEAD GASKET TO USE IT.. IF YOU CAN FIX IT YOURSELF ITS A BIG PLUS.. I'VE OWNED IT FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS AND IT'S A GREAT CAR. .....THIS HAPPENED WHEN I STARTED IT ONE DAY AND STARTED SMOKING INTENSELY.. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE HEAD GASKET SO I NEVER USED IT SINCE....." unquote..

Should make the price right and it very well might be just the head gasket on that models engine.
