Clicking noise while driving...
So of course these things happen when you're 30+ miles from home, not when you're going around the block....
My car is a 1985 300td with 235,000 miles. So one mile from my destination on a 45 mile (each way) trip to find a good door for my pickup, I started to hear a clicking noisem definitely on the driver's side, and I think at the rear of my car. The faster the car was going, the faster the clicking noise would occur. Whenever I would apply the brakes, at any speed, it would immediately go away, but then start again once I released the brakes. I drove home with it for 10 miles, and then it went away, but started again 2 miles from my house. I didn't notice any difference in the performance of the vehicle. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Bryan

Check your rear axles, chances are the boots are cracked and stuff has gotten inside....very common failure

Also definitely check your wheel lug-bolts!
