240D updates
Well I finally got around to swapping the driver seats between the 240D and the 280E and I am so glad I did. The 280E seat is not perfect but it doesn't have any broken springs and it has an armrest. I also installed the full armrest I snagged at the Deutsche Classic swap meet a few weeks back. This is by far my favorite modification to the car. I also drove over to Lums Pond state park and ate lunch outside since we are having a stretch of very nice weather.

I like your drivers door Arm Rest Mod. I did that to the 85 several year before I discovered the Forum, always seemed like something was not right. easy upgrade.
So now the 280 has the broken Springs? A seat Spring Box from a II Gen 126 is a drop in upgrade. I use the Pass side as it usually is in good shape with a lot less Butt Cycles. I like the paint color on your cars, and looks good with that interior. Charlie

When I saw your first pic I could not tell if it was your 280E or your 240D (until I remembered it was in the title). You've got twins there, but only one is a keeper.

Ehh I like the 280E a lot but it does need a huge amount of work to be a keeper but at the same time it's too nice to part out or scrap. You are right though the 240D is a keeper
