vacuum pod R&R
I am going to the junkyard in a few hours and I want to get a replacement AC pod. The one that is bad is the pod to the right of the glove box, behind the PS vent. I tried to get it out of a donor on my last trip, but couldn't figure out the 'trick' to it.
Any help on how to remove one? The one I was working on was in a car with the dash removed....I figured if I was having trouble with full access it will be even worse to get the old one replaced in my car with the dash in place! Edit: I found dmorrison's diy, it appears to be a matter of pushing the tabs and twisting it out?

Morrison is right. Hold with large water pump pliers and turn CC while pushing the locking tab with a screw drive of file tang.

Thanks, got it out of the donor...scared to do the replacement in my car! Seems really hard with everything in place.
