Hey New Englanders, ChowdaQ 2013!

Yes friends once again its time for ChowdaQ:

As always a special prize will be awarded for the jaloponist piece of junk you can coax to the show under its own power. Maybe even a double special prize if you tow a Mercedes jalopy in with another Mercedes...

Hmmm... wonder if I could come...

Mölyapina 08-21-2013 12:16 PM

Is there clam chowder there? This is what I most resemble after eating clam chowder: :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

Of course you can come! It'll be about a 60 minute ride for you, just south of Providence.

The will be chowder (ChowdaQ right?) but also burgers, dogs and my "mystery surprise", every year I do a little something different. Last year we had chicken wings (bad experiment, I couldn't get the charcoal hot enough so they took forever to cook), year before that was french fries (made fresh, 5# of them). 2 years running we've had fresh clamcakes too.

Fun fun fun -- actually, I was just wondering aloud about coming, but I appreciate the permission, too ;). The food sounds good! I'll definitely see if I can make, and I may even show up in the 300SD if that is on the road by then (as it better be...). Otherwise, I'll bring my Buick and you guys can make fun of it :D.

I got it, I was just trying to influence the decision :)

I'll put up a list of awkward-to-ship parts that I could sell to someone else at the GTG. Is there a house fee? Do I need to buy a booth? :P

Its a state park so you won't be able to setup shop but if you wanted to have a trunk full of stuff that'd be fine. Many of us bring stuff to hand off to others.

im in also.

mmmmmm, some tasty stuff at chowdaQ 11'

What can we bring?

Quahog 08-22-2013 11:50 AM

I have a big cajun cooker I can bring: it can steam, boil or fry;)

Bring yourself, bring your car, bring a fun attitude. No need to bring food theres always extra although if you'd like to bring your favorite non-adult beverage that'd probably be a good idea.

Hmmn, I've not been able to make it to CDQ yet. I'm going to try to make it to this one. My 85 300D has not done any long trips and this one is 162 miles each way. Hmmn:)

NCfriend 09-08-2013 11:51 AM

Man, you guys up north have all the fun!
when is the southeast going to get it together??? Gumbofest, BBQ picking, frog gigging...something!

You guys have fun and watch out for the park rangers ;)

I know the follow-up question: why don't I host one?
Good idea! Maybe I will, just let me get the 2-year old off to school and check back in a couple years. It will be a great fest; getting ideas from all these awesome gatherings

Enjoy drivers!

I want to go too!
