Block off plate for EGR
I pulled the intake, had it hot tanked & cleaned and put it all back together. I made a block off plate from 1/4 thick steel and put it in between the EGR and housing. I did not notice a difference at first, but as I drive more it seems to be faster.

I noticed that as well. I think what is going on here is that the intake is clean and the head is still dirty. As I drive the car the nasties are being pulled from the head and being blown out the tailpipe. Since the EGR is blocked off, no more crap is being blown into the motor. What do you think?

I think you shouldn't advertise that you modified the emission system. The polution gestapo may show up at your engine compartment one day.
