1983 300TD For Sale -- Next stop Ebay

Hey guys, someone has to have a need for a great 1983 300TD Turbodiesel Wagon. 228k, new AC compressor, new Bilstein front shocks, new door seals, new bushings in front end, new brakes all around, near new tires, Pioneer CD plus original Becker, Coco mats, wheelskin leather steering wheel cover, kamei spoiler, lexan headlight covers, high performance headlight bulbs (silverstar), Euro H4 beams and probably a lot more I have not remembered like new hoses, overflow tank and accumulators for rear suspension. This car has no rust, no third seat, and a lot of paper that goes with it including the original window sticker. I am 4th owner and knew personally owners 2 and 3, both doctors.

I'm in the process now of selling my home in San Diego and moving. I have too many cars or there is no way Daisy would be up for sale. I want her to go to a good home where she will continue to receive "the love".

I think my asking price of $3500 is very fair but I'm willing to entertain offers.

How about it before I put her on eBay later this week.

Contact me at 619-670-1238 or mholbrook@ucsd.edu

Is Daisy originally from San Diego, or did she come from another part of the U.S.?

Daisy was originally purchased in Illinois and then almost immediately went to Florida for some years. She found her way to Memphis, Tenn where she was purchased by one of the two doctors that owned her. She came to San Diego for a year and then back to Tenn. The second doctor (third owner) was a resident physician in Memphis and needed some transportation so he bought Daisy and drove her through his residency at Baptist Memorial in Memphis. He came to San Diego for a year of fellowship training and brought Daisty with him. When it was time for him to return to Memphis a couple years ago, I talked him into selling her to me and he returned with a new Toyota. Lucky me.

I have done work on the undercarrage of the car in changing shocks, accumulators, bushings, turbo tube seals, A/C compressor, auto trans fluid and filter x2, and other stuff. There is no rust nor trouble with any fasteners as associated with cars which have spent a winter or two in salt.

In otherwords.....no rust.

I would love a TD but there is no way I could even remotely be able to afford it. Post the link to the ebay auction if no one here gets it first, I would like to see the photos.

Wow am I depressed now, and offer this as a lesson to any new members considering a purchase. I bought a "cheap" wagon, and will soon have the same amount in it that this nice wagon is going for. And I still have to fix the smoking problem and then have it painted. My ACC is bypassed, my car has no acceleration (0-60 in 30 seconds) and the list goes on and on.
Spend a little extra, and don't leave yourself so much to do.

(I shoulda bought that diesel Volvo...)

mholbrook-

Is your 300TD the same one I saw on here a while ago pictured with a set of mudflaps on it? The wagon i saw was ivory or another beige variant.

I have a friend in Marina Del Rey that is searching high and low for a nice 300TD, i'll pass your contact info on to him.

Cheers!
