W126 300SD - finally upgrading to 15" rims - what size tire?

I tried posting this in wheels and tires and got zero action so I'm reposting this here in the diesel community, thanks!

Finally got my hands on some 7" x 15" 15 hole rims for the wheel upgrade on my '84 300SD. Now, which would be the preferred tire size that is recommended for these 7Jx15H2 et25 rims?
I've read that 205/65R15 was OEM size on these rims. Also read that some prefer a wider 215/60R15 on this rim. Any preference? Specific brand? For the record, about half of my driving is in and out of the mountains, chip sealed hilly winding slow driving mountain roads, the other half is highway driving. I've experienced a lot of inner tire wear on the front end...
Cheers!
