Hacked EPC account
 
Ok so I have not had time to work on my Benz for a while. Mostly been busy getting my daughter off to college and trying to get my son back on track with actually getting his school work done! <<enough to drive a guy to drinking>>

I needed to order some parts from the classic center. i went to log into my EPC account and it tells me somebody is already logged in! When I manage to get in everything has been changed to chineese! Anybody else have this happen? I contacted EPC by mail. I hope they can get this straightened out.

It's more than just you.

I had the same problem yesterday and didn't get it resolved. I'm not happy that it's continuing today. But I'd bet it's a database corruption issue, unless they actually did get hacked, too.

Many reports of same problem on MB forums. Even if you think you got in, the error can pop up while using the site.

I just checked (Friday mid-day) and it isn't working for me. I mean, I got in, but it said someone is already using my account. All of the VINs I had entered were gone, and a bunch of others were in its memory. And then it kicked me off since it said the account was already open. Hmmmm?

Mine is working, now, but with a few extra key strokes to open it.

Actually, no one's "account" has been hacked. You are still logging in on the website as you. It's the smartkey that is generated when you actually open the EPC that is goofed up. I wouldn't be the least surprised if it's a Java issue. :(

I just logged on after having to reload the page several times. Got a few new pop-up windows to accept changes and then got the smart-key error. Did a retry on that popup and the EPC loaded. However, it looks like there are several new VIN numbers in my list and several of the old ones are missing. Using one of my known VIN's, the page loaded okay, but then I got another smart-key error and just closed everything down.

Yeah I have a tech support ticket open with them. Supposed to respond in 3 business days. So hopefully they will let me know whats going on by Wednesday.

I was unable to login at all just now. Tried it in Firefox and IE. Frustrating.

Same here. I can log in to the web portal, but launching the app is a no go. Kinda making things difficult.
