In need of a rebuildable injector pump

I've been working for months to chase down the miss in my 1993 300d. After changing filters, vacuum lines, turbo actuator, rebuilt and tested my own injectors then didn't trust myself and bought rebuilt ones, I still had a miss in #4 cylinder. Pressure test was good. I kept reading that injector pumps rarely go bad. I've got 280k on this engine and finally pulled the pump to have it rebuilt. They finished the rebuild and called and said that it had a crack in #4 when they pressure tested after rebuild. Now the problem is there are no cores in my area. Does anyone have a rebuildable core they want to sell? My wife keeps telling me to get rid of the car and get something we can use right away. I'm not going to tell her how much I really have in it now, I just tell her it will be worth it in the end. Please chime in with any help or info you might think I can use.

Jim

A crack in #4 what?
I am guessing it could be the Fuel Injection Pump housing or the Governor Housing. But, it could also be the ALDA or the Fuel Supply/Lift Pump.

Was you Fuel Injection Pump leaking before you sent it to them?

The fuel injection pump housing had a crack and was leaking under pressure. There was no sign of fuel outside the pump. It was seeping into the next cylinder of the pump.
